Gold & Turquoise Earrings // Red/Orange Earrings // Gold Kendra Scott Earrings
Hi friends! Today I’m going to be sharing my most recent DIY project I made for my apartment!
This is a quick and simple, DIY earring organizer with just 4 simple steps to hold all of your cute, dangly earrings and help keep them organized and untangled.
When I was looking to make this, I wanted something simple and easy that wouldn’t take me a lot of time. I couldn’t believe how simple this was to make! This earring organizer is super easy and since it only has 4 steps, it didn’t take long at all to make! You can also personalize it however you want to with paint and/or different materials or patterns and really make it your own.
So without further ado my friends, let’s jump in!
Materials Needed
Picture Frame (I used this one from Target!)
Metal Backing (I used a radiator cover from Home Depot)
Black Acrylic Paint
Hot Glue
Box Cutter (Optional)
Directions
Step 1: Open the picture frame to remove the glass, backing, and white insert from inside.
Step 2: Paint the picture frame with the black acrylic paint (I painted it once, let it dry and then painted a 2nd coat). Next paint the inside of the frame backing (the cardboard part) so it will be a black background when you put the metal backing in the frame.
Step 3: [Optional: Use the box cutters to cut the white insert inside the frame down to your desired size if you want a bigger space for your earrings than what is already there.] Then use the wire cutters to cut the metal backing piece to the correct size to fill the space in the frame.
*I cut the “picture area” in the white insert to a bigger rectangle of 7 x 11 so it would give me more space for my earrings. I cut the metal backing to be just a little bit bigger than 7 x 11 so it would *
Step 4: Hot glue the metal backing piece to the back of the white insert. Replace white insert inside of the picture frame to secure it and hold it in place. Replace the frame back after the paint has dried.
THAT. IS. IT. Super easy and simple right?!? The outcome is so pretty, I love how it turned out and it really does help organize my earrings and keep them separated so they don’t get tangled!
I hope you guys enjoyed this quick and simple, 4-step tutorial for how to make your own DIY earring organizer! Did you try it yourself?? Leave me a comment below and let me know how it turned out! 🙂
Super cute! I’m thinking about making one today, but am curious if the radiator cover made any of your earrings tarnish. I would hate to ruin my Kendra’s (and other earrings for that matter)!
