Decking Out Your Home for the Holidays

Well it’s finally past Thanksgiving, which means it is now viewed as socially-acceptable to put your Christmas tree up and start the holiday decorating!! (I started 2 and a half weeks ago, shhh!!)

I just love decorating for the holidays! Putting up the Christmas tree and getting it all fluffed out to perfection, seeing all the lights around the house so it gives off a cozy glow when you’re sitting on the couch, drinking hot cocoa. It’s so festive and I don’t know about you, but I always feel cheerier when my apartment is decorated for Christmas and there are fun decorations everywhere that greet me when I walk in the door. 🙂

Since I was in the process of moving home from California last year around this time and didn’t have a chance to really decorate a space of my own, I bought most of my Christmas decor new this year! I posted a few videos on my Instagram stories the other week showing some of my decor and linked most everything, but I still received a few requests to post some pictures of my decor. So I figured I would take it a step further and go ahead and write a blog post, in case any of you guys are in need of a little Christmas decor inspiration! My apartment definitely isn’t completely finished yet, but it’s a start and I will continue to update everyone on my Facebook and Instagram stories when I find any new Christmas decor!

Now on to the decor… I was trying to keep costs low so I mostly stuck with Walmart and Amazon. However, I did manage to find some inexpensive things from Hobby Lobby during their 50% off all Christmas decor sale in order to make my wreath for over the fireplace! (I’ll link a few similar ones to the one I made!)
