Happy 1st day of OCTOBER!!!!! I can’t believe it’s FINALLY October, my favorite month out of the entire year!! Which means, it’s officially time to start talking about ALL THINGS Halloween!!
Let me begin by saying I loveeeee Halloween. From the movies, to the costumes, to the candyyyyyy, I LOVE IT! I think it’s so much fun and I always have a good time decorating the house and finding fun costumes and buying up all the candy in the store, just to eat most of it the week before and have to go out the day of and get more at an up-charged rate. I LOVE IT haha!
For the costumes, even though Jordan and I usually don’t do too much for Halloween, I always love getting a costume and getting into the spirit of things, even if I just wear it to work or out and about on Halloween heehee. Today I wanted to share a costume idea that’s SUPER easy to replicate and is perfect no matter what your plans may be!
A KITTY CAT!
Last year, I decided the day before Halloween that I wanted to dress up as something for work and get into the festive spirit (even though I had about 4 bags of candy at home and some might argue I was already in the festive spirit lol). I went to Walmart to look at what they had available and of course, most of the stuff was picked over. I DID however manage to find a rhinestone kitty cat ears headband, that had 2 stones missing from it haha. I think it was initially $4 or $5, but I brought it up to the register and asked if I could have a discount since a few of the stones were missing and the manager ended up selling it to me for $1. (I can’t find it on the Walmart website anymore, but found a super similar one on Amazon for under $8!)
I went home with my find and went to work! I had some rhinestone jewels that were about the same size in my craft box so I took some superglue and glued them into the places on the ears that the jewels had fallen off. By the next morning, they were dry and I was ready to put together my outfit for Halloween!
I threw on my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings and paired it with a black fitted bodysuit and black flats. Next, I went to work on turning my face into a kitty cat! I did my face makeup like normal, then used liquid black eyeliner to apply cat eye makeup. Next, I used a regular black eyeliner pencil to draw on whiskers and a kitty nose. Last, I used the same black eyeliner to line and fill in my top lip and concealer and pressed powder to fill in my bottom lip. This helped to create my kitty cat face to go along with my sparkle ears! Lastly, I curled my hair and fluffed/teased it a little bit to give it a bit of a tousled look (I use this curling iron and this texturizing spray to help give my hair more volume). Then I added my kitty cat ears to finish off the look!
I was (and still am!) so happy with how the look turned out and it was a HIT at work! I even had to swoop in Marilyn and Raven for a little photo shoot when I got home haha! (Most definitely to their dismay, they were very confused haha.)
I hope this helps get you in the festive Halloween spirit for the month of October and I can’t wait to share more fun Halloween-themed posts with you guys this month! Thanks for reading and until the next post, Xx.

cute & little
I was a cat for Halloween on several occasions in high school – especially because I worked retail and it was the easiest “comfortable” costume while I was in-store. Never fails!
So cute! I’m really hoping I get a chance to celebrate halloween this year – although I have no idea what I will dress up as yet!
I love Halloween too! Have to say though, your hair totally makes the outfit! Xo Jaimie http://www.jaimietucker.com
So cute! This is a perfect last-minute costume— quick to put together & super cute!
