I don’t know about you, but to me, nothing is better than having something cold and refreshing on a hot, summer day. One thing I love enjoying in the summer is smoothies! They’re healthy, filling, and satisfy that urge for something cold when I’m dealing with 100 degree weather here in SETX.
One of my favorite types of smoothies to enjoy in the summer is one with mangos and pineapple. They are both fruits that are so refreshing and leave you feeling healthy and happy after enjoying them! I love trying out new types of smoothies to mix things up, but if I had to pick a favorite smoothie for the warm months, this one would definitely be it.
I always start out with frozen pineapple and mango (I prefer buying frozen since it keeps longer and makes the smoothie super cold!) and a large banana. I also like to add chia seeds to this smoothie for added fiber and antioxidants (not pictured, because I had to order some more and it hasn’t come in yet, but I order this kind!)
I generally use almond milk or coconut water in this smoothie, depending what I have on hand. The almond milk helps to thicken the consistency a little bit, so that’s my preferred choice for this smoothie.
I’ve included the full recipe below if you guys want to check it out! Feel free to let me know what you think and how you like it! 🙂
Thanks for reading friends! I hope you guys enjoyed this smoothie recipe. 🙂 It’s one of my favorites, especially for the summer months so I’ll be making it a lot coming up. Enjoy!! Xx.
