Hi friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is off to a great week so far. I wanted to [finally] update you guys on my latest makeup products that I’m using. Not too much has changed, but I did change out a few products with ones I have found work better for me and added a step or two to up my makeup routine. Here are all of the products I am currently using for my makeup routine:
Foundation & Concealer
I switched my foundation to a different full-coverage brand that a lot of you are probably familiar with, NARS. I’ve used other NARS products in the past, but was so used to Estee Lauder Double Wear, I never wanted to change. I finally took the plunge back in April and switched to NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I use the shade Stromboli, which is for medium skin with olive undertones. I usually buy my foundation darker than my actual skin tone since I almost always have self-tanner on. However, when I’ve worn this without self-tanner, it still blends well into my skin and doesn’t leave me with a makeup line. I use this EcoTools Wonder Cover Complexion Brush to apply my foundation.
I never wore under-eye concealer until this summer when I was trying to finish my final MBA class, while also working and keeping up with the blog. That’s when the dark circles under my eyes really came out! I decided just to use my former foundation under my eyes since it’s a thick, full-coverage foundation and was way too light for me anyways. (I’m all about using what I have, no reason to let it go to waste!) I use the Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage in shade Desert Beige and it works great as an under-eye concealer for me to hide my dark circles. I use this Beauty Blender Sponge from a 5-piece set (Amazon find!) to apply my concealer. I wet the sponge then squeeze out the excess water in a towel before applying my concealer.
Pressed Powder
For my pressed powder, I still use the same as I did last time I posted about my makeup products. I use a kind that is unfortunately, discontinued by Beauticontrol, so I can’t link to it. However, I found one that’s basically identical to the one I use (pressed powder and same shade) that’s by Tarte. The color that is most similar to the one I use in the Tarte Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder is the Light shade. I still use my EcoTools Full Powder Brush to apply the powder, and I always try to “tap” or “dab” it on my face, rather than really brush or rub it across my face. This helps set my foundation and keep it from moving throughout the day.
Bronzer & Highlighter
I changed the bronzer I was using since my old one was about 5 years old (cringe, I know.) This new one is by Morphe and is called Glamabronze Bronzer. I use the shade Megastar, however to be honest I probably should have bought the lightest color, Icon. But since I had already purchased the darker shade and started using it, I couldn’t take it back and I’m not about to waste it, so I just make sure to use it sparingly so it doesn’t look too dark for my face. I apply it with the “Define” brush from my EcoTools Define & Highlight Duo and it works perfectly! Again, with this bronzer, a little goes a long way so you don’t need a whole lot.
The highlighter I use has not changed from the last time I let you guys know about my beauty routine. I’m still using the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter by Becca in the shade Champagne Pop. I use this on my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, cupid’s bow, and eyebrow bone… Basically wherever the light would naturally fall on my face is where I put highlighter! I apply it with the other brush in the EcoTools Define & Highlight Duo, the “Highlight” brush.
Eye-shadow
For my eye-shadow, I go back and forth between a few different palettes because I like to change it up based on what I’m wearing, but I would say probably 90% of the time I use the Naked Cherry Palette by Urban Decay. I love this palette because it has a lot of pinks and dark purples, which pair well with my hazel eyes. The three colors I use most and that I consider my “everyday colors” are Hot Spot, Turn On, and Ambitious, all of which I apply with my EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Set. I start out with the “Shade” brush in the set and apply the “Hot Spot” color all over my eyelid and in the corner to brighten up my eyes. Next, I apply “Turn On” all over my eyelid and under my eye where my bottom eyelashes fall. Last, I take the “Ambitious” color and apply it in my eyelid crease and on the outer edges of my eye. I also apply this (lightly) on the bottom of my eye towards the outer edge.
Lastly, I take the “Blend” brush and lightly blend all of the colors to make sure there are no lines and make sure everything is blended well together.
Eyebrows
I’m actually getting my eyebrows micro-bladed in August, so my eyebrow routine will probably change a bit, but for right now I’m still doing the same thing as in my last makeup routine update. I take the “Define” brush in the EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Set and use it with a brow powder in the shade Medium Brown. My exact brow powder isn’t sold online, unfortunately but this Brow Powder by IT Cosmetics is the same color as mine and works extremely well! My brow routine is pretty simple right now, so basically I just take the “Define” brush with the brow powder and use it to fill in my eyebrows since they are super thin. After I fill them in, I use the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Mascara to brush my eyebrows and make them look a little more “real” and less filled in.
Eyeliner
I did change my eyeliner I was using to this Tattoo Liner by Kat Von D. I initially got this as a free sample from Sephora and decided to give it a try. I fell in love with it and after I used the sample, went back and bought a full-sized liner. I used to never use liquid liner because I had such a hard time making a straight line, but this one makes such precision strokes and turns out beautifully! I only use this on the top of my eyelid to make a small winged/cat-eye look. I don’t use eyeliner on the bottom of my eyes anymore! I feel like it kind of made my eyes look a little too dramatic for everyday wear. I’ll still use it if I’m going out at night on a weekend or something though to make them POP!
Mascara
As you guys have probably heard me say before, I’ve used the same mascara for about 9 years now. I’ve added other mascaras and taken them away, trying new combinations but I’ve never stopped using my #1 fave! I use Illegal Length Fiber Extension Mascara by Maybelline New York after curling my lashes, and I do not exaggerate when I say it is the BEST mascara I have found, to date. It makes my eyelashes super long, I always get asked if I’m wearing false lashes! I use the color Blackest Black in the non-waterproof. (I don’t like wearing waterproof unless I absolutely have to, because it irritates my eyes.) I’ll often layer it with the High Impact Mascara by Clinique, but usually only if I have an event or am going out and want my eyelashes to be super dramatic. This mascara helps to add volume and darken them even more, while the Illegal Length mascara adds length.
Lipstick
I found a new nude lippy that I’ve been loving from Colourpop. It’s not too dark, so it’s perfect if you have lighter skin and are looking for a good nude lip to wear on a day-to-day basis. I line my lips first with Lime Crime Velvetines Lip Liner in the shade Angel and then fill them in with this Dream Date Lippie Stick from Colourpop, which is actually on sale right now for 40% off! It’s one of the best nude lip colors I’ve found so far, it’s not too light or too dark, so it’s perfect for everyday wear.
So that’s it! Those are all of my makeup products that I’m currently using, including any new ones I’ve added or changed since the last makeup update I posted. I’ll always try to update when I make major changes to my makeup routine or switch more than one or two products around. I also almost always keep you guys up to date on my Instagram Stories with my makeup product updates, so make sure to follow along there to keep up with the changes!
Thanks for reading friends! Xx.
I have heard so many great things about the NARS foundation! I need to give it a try. I’m also a huge fan of the EcoTools brushes and actually need to update a few of mine, so I’ll definitely be picking up the ones you linked.

Great post! There’s a lot of products here that I definitely need to get asap. I can’t believe how affordable is that set of beauty blenders. I got only one for about $15, never ever happening again. Thanks for sharing!
Girl, I feel. I was about to buy a beauty blender one day (the name brand ones) and I was like… I can’t bring myself to drop $20 on a sponge LOL! These work just as well and for a fraction of the price!
Going to have to add these to my list of products to try! Need to pick up that Tarte Tinted pressed powder!

cute & little
Your makeup looks absolutely beautiful! I’m especially impressed with your eyelashes and how thick and full they look. I’m jealous because I can never get my eyelashes to look like that!
Awww thank you so much! They definitely take a little time to get them like that, but I’m honestly just a huge fan of the mascara I use! I think it helps A LOT with making them thick and full!
I’m awful with makeup and need all the products! Your makeup looks so natural and pretty!
I’m such a huge fan of Urban Decay, and that palette is one of my favorites!
They have so many pretty colors in it, I love it! Their eyeshadow just seems to last longer for me than others!
I love your makeup look! So beautiful!
I’m thinking my bronzer might be nearly as old as yours was so I need to get a new one! I’ll have to check out your recommendation!
