When I think of fall, one of the first fashion trends that comes to mind is plaid. So this weekend, as I sat down to write this post over wearing plaid for fall and work on a variety of other things, I decided to put a movie on that I had not watched in quite some time. Pretty in Pink. This one was a classic favorite of mine when I was in high school (I LOVE classic movies and was obsessed with Molly Ringwald, she was and still is, completely fabulous) and as I was watching and writing content for the blog, the name for the post suddenly seemed pretty obvious.
I was writing a post about plaid, since I am in full-on fall fashion inspo mode. I was watching Pretty in Pink… Come on, I mean how could I not name this post Pretty in Plaid?!
I am in love with this adorable plaid mini skort! It’s so freaking comfortable and honestly goes with so much! Although right now, I paired it with my Sam Edelman knee-high boots, once it gets colder I plan to pair it with my thigh-high boots for a little more coverage on my legs! The best part is, it’s UNDER $20 from Forever 21 and is really good quality. It’s made out of a thick material, so it doesn’t feel cheaply made at all, and the color-scheme can be paired with so many different options! I threw on one of my favorite sleeveless ribbed turtleneck top (which is REALLY good for layering!) for this outfit, but again as it gets colder and I trade in my knee-high boots for thigh-high boots, I also plan to wear a black, long-sleeved sweater top with my black leather jacket or coat!
