Spanx Leather Leggings: An Honest Review

Happy October friends! I just realized yesterday was October 1st and I couldn’t believe it! How is it already October?!? Although I’m certainly not complaining. The month of pumpkins, cool weather, and allllll the candy officially BEGINS!!

Today I wanted to share a post over a popular item that I know a lot of people have been wondering about. I was able to snag a pair of Spanx faux leather leggings this past July during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (I tried to last year, but they sold out super quickly!) and I wanted to share with everyone my honest thoughts and opinions on them. They aren’t the cheapest leggings I’ve ever purchased by far and I rarely splurge on pricier items unless I really think I’m going to like them and get my wear out of them. So, here is it — my honest opinion on Spanx faux leather leggings.

The Fit

So let me preface this by saying that I have never bought a pair of Spanx anything before, so I wasn’t sure how they would fit. I knew they would be tight simply by the reputation of Spanx, but let me tell you friends… These suckers were TIGHT. I’m pretty sure Jordan thought I was getting a workout in from the way I was huffing and puffing to pull them up! BUT, I definitely got the right size (I bought a small) because they fit me perfectly and from the reviews on Nordstrom’s website, they are pretty much supposed to be like that when getting them on.

The Look

I do not exaggerate when I say that I got SO. MANY. COMPLIMENTS. the night that I wore these!! Everyone seemed to come up to me and tell me they liked my outfit and specifically commented on the look of the leggings. I actually wore them for two days this past weekend, simply because they were so dang cute! Not to mention they are extremely flattering. I literally ate about a pound of pasta and bread at dinner this past Saturday when I was wearing these, and you couldn’t tell at all haha.

The Feel

Finally, I wanted to share the feel of these and how it feels to wear them for a long period of time. I wore them all day and evening on Saturday and they were 100% comfortable! I felt great in them and they were something that looked fashionable, but played the comfort card. The faux leather is also so soft! Not to mention they are high-waisted, which I love when it comes to leggings, so I felt comfortable and held-in all day!

Overall, I was SUPER pleased with the quality of the leggings and how they turned out for me. I plan to wear them on repeat this fall and winter season and am excited to finally try out some of the outfit ideas I have in mind for them! I feel like there are so many different ways to style these leggings, so I’m happy to finally have a pair to share!
