Where to Find the Best Denim Shorts for Summer

Happy Tuesday friends! MAN, has it been a while. I’ve been swamped with work the past couple weeks so the blog has had to take the back burner for a bit, but I’m happy to be back with some new summer content for you guys.

Since we are officially into the summer months, I thought I would share about a topic that’s popular for the hot months… Denim shorts! I love wearing denim shorts because they keep you cool and they match with just about everything. However, I am the WORST about shopping for denim shorts. I’ll do just about anything to not have to go shopping for denim shorts. Why, you may ask?

It is SO hard to find a pair of denim shorts that checks off all of my boxes, at least for me anyways. I will shop for DAYS, going into store after store and trying to find a pair of denim shorts that aren’t too short, have good booty coverage, are high-waisted, but not too high-waisted, feel comfortable, are reasonably priced… THE LIST GOES ON. So in case you find yourself in the same boat, I threw together this list of my top three favorite places to shop for denim shorts. #1: American Eagle

This is my #1 top fave place to buy denim shorts, hands down! Not only that, it’s my favorite place to buy jeans in general. Their fabric for denim is stretchy, breathable and super comfortable. Not to mention their jeans are all reasonably priced and look super flattering!

I wear a size 6 in all American eagle denim and they fit TTS. The high-waisted shorts I’m wearing in these pictures are actually from American Eagle, I just picked them out a couple weeks ago and have been so happy with the quality and fit of them!

#2: Abercrombie and Fitch

When I can’t find the style I’m wanting at American Eagle, the next place I look is Abercrombie and Fitch. They have a great selection of denim to choose from and all of it is great quality and affordable! The only reason I placed them #2 in my list instead of #1 is because the fabric they use for their shorts is more of a traditional denim material. Ie it doesn’t have the stretchy denim material that American Eagle does. However, I know some people like the normal denim material even more so than the stretchy, so I think it really just depends on your preferences!

I wear a size 28 in A&F denim, which is TTS for me (equivalent to a size 6)!

#3: Shein

Last but not least is a surprising one… Shein! I never thought Shein would have great denim options, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their denim shorts. I bought this pair of high-waisted shorts last summer from Shein and was so surprised with the quality of them! They were easily my favorite pair of denim shorts all last summer. I will say that these were a bit cheekier than I tend to like, however I really loved the fit and feel of them so I decided to let that slide. They were also only $15 so you can’t beat that!

I bought these in a size M and they fit well. I would recommend checking the sizing and reviews for anything you may order from Shein, as a lot of the time, the sizing varies per item.
